MILAN – Some faculty college students say a canine ate their homework, others ship in a doctor’s phrase.
Madeline Schizas cited a scheduling battle referred to as the Olympics — and it labored.
The Canadian decide skater and McMaster Faculty scholar was granted an extension on her sociology venture sooner or later after going viral alongside along with her request on Instagram.
Schizas posted a screenshot of the e-mail to her professor Saturday, the morning after she competed inside the ladies’s crew event temporary program on the Milan Cortina Video video games, with a hyperlink to the Canadian Olympic Committee’s press launch to substantiate her participation.

“Questioning if I’ll get a quick extension on this week’s reflection,” the e-mail study. “I was competing inside the Olympic Video video games yesterday and thought it was due on Sunday, not Friday.”

Schizas added: “LOLLLL I (coronary coronary heart) being a scholar athlete” in her publish.
The 22-year-old from Oakville, Ont. — acknowledged for her deadpan sense of humour — updated her virtually 40,000 (and rising) followers on Instagram on Sunday, hours sooner than she was set to compete inside the crew event free program.
“As a result of it seems everyone was pretty invested, I did get my extension lol,” she talked about. “I can’t think about anyone cared quite a bit (crying emoji).
“Good learning lesson regarding the spotlight of the Olympics.”
Schizas is about to graduate in May with a severe in Environment and Society, which she compares to “environmental analysis.”
